GTUC Wocom in collaboration with Extraordinary Women presents Womentrepreneur.

Miss Irene Selina Owusu through her office as the Women’s Commissioner at Ghana Technology University College Kumasi Campus partnered with Extraordinary Women to organise Womentrepreneur.

Womentrepreneur is a program unlike any other that focuses on the exposure and training of women in entrepreneurship.

The program brought a seasoned entrepreneur and speakers to train the ladies and gentlemen of GTUC -Kumasi Campus.

Mrs. Marilyn Owusu is the Chief Executive Officer of ACE Consult Ltd which is a
Management and Educational Consultancy. She has over 16 years of
experience as a Management Consultant and Public Speaker and established
ACE Consult Ltd 12 years ago. ACE Consult has worked with over 100
companies and institutions, offering management and educational
consultancy, training and recruitment services.

She was the speaker at the seminar.

From her wealth of experience as an entrepreneurship guru, she said basically anyone can start a business with as little money as possible. Her opinion was that no one has to wait to get more money before starting a business because that will only delay the process. With that little amount, you can come up with something and never relent on your dedication and determination on your idea for that is the surest way to make the dream a reality.

The participants had a lot to learn from the speaker and sought to have more of her some other time.

Miss Peggy Josephine Oblim, the MC for the seminar had the view that women need to be liberated and that must come in line with them being set on a solid foundation. She believes that can only work through entrepreneurship.

Miss Theresa Nyame shared similar belief with Miss Peggy but she believed what had been the missing part in such seminars was its practicality. She said for the first time, this is one seminar that gave participants a clear practical approach to entrepreneurship and for that she was happy to have sat under the tutelage of Mrs Marilyn Owusu.

Miss Irene Selina Owusu said the motive was to direct the ladies on the most practical path to entrepreneurship and she was glad the participants were not disappointed.
